Hi everyone! Welcome to my first blog post. I'm sure there will be a natural evolution of this blog, but the idea for now is to tell my story and my quilting journey. I never dreamed I would be a quilter - I'm much too modern for that nonsense right? After all, I'm a 30 something year old lawyer, who loves to travel, not a retired grandma who needs something to fill her time. Ha! I couldn't have been more wrong. In fact, quilting is definitely not an old lady's game and there are plenty of rock star quilters in their 20s and 30s. Some of my favorites are Angela Walters, Judi Madsen, and Allison Harris.
Truthfully, quilting has changed my life and has gotten me through some of the hardest years. I began quilting because of tragedy - actually a few tragedies - some my own and some others. But that has led to love, peace, and now a passion.
Over the next few weeks, I will tell you all more of my journey and also start to post some pictures of my quilts, so you can see my progression over the years. If you quilt, feel free to share as well. If you don't, I hope I can teach you something or maybe even inspire you. If you are a friend or family member, thank you for the support. If we're not friends yet, what are we waiting for???
